The New Lens Concert Series is looking for works for violin and piano, solo piano, or solo violin, for performance on our 2013 series. Pieces may not incorporate electronics of any kind and may only be for the instruments listed. Chosen works will be performed multiple times throughout California by Panic Duo (www.panicduo.com) from April 26th – May 6th, 2013.
Deadline
All materials must be emailed to NewLensConcertSeries@gmail.com by 5pm PST on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Selected pieces will be announced by March 1, 2013.

We are only accepting electronic submissions at this time. There are no application fees nor restrictions on who may apply. No more than two submissions per composer. Please note that you will need to fill out one application per piece.
Selection process
We, the directors of New Lens, have full control of the selection process and will make our selection(s) based on which piece(s) best fit the needs, mission, and programming of this year’s series. We will choose up to four pieces to be performed in 2013. Please see our mission statement for details.

Selected composers must provide professional-quality parts within two weeks of being notified of our selection. Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of the piece. It is possible that one of the concerts will be recorded, but we make no guarantees at this time. If a chosen composer is available to attend a concert, we will provide two complimentary tickets.
